The Rising Moon
Perhaps someday I'll go on a photo shoot on the moon. But for now the shots from the hills in California will have to do.

It existed long before man invented windows, and in fact, long before man existed, period.

"In terms of your happiness, in terms of the matters that make you proud or sad, nothing—I repeat, nothing—will have so profound an effect on you as the way your children turn out. You will either rejoice and boast of their accomplishments or you will weep, head in hands, bereft and forlorn, if they become a disappointment or an embarrassment to you." - Gordon B. Hinckley
Happy Father's Day to all fathers! Pictured here is Ryan and his son Jack. He and Melissa are our friends and are great examples of good parents. We had a blast spending a day with them today. Oh yeah, check out their blog.

Beautiful place with a proper name that uncovers the hidden beach.. Is there a better place to watch a sunset on a Saturday night?

Two things always fascinated me about the ocean - (1) the motion of waves, (2) the rocks. I grew up going to the Black Sea in the summers, and you still see both there, but it is such a massive body of water that is Pacific Ocean that takes these two elements to the extreme.
To better appreciate this, see the large version.

Any golfer will recognize this tree, and if not, this person should not be called a golfer. This, of course, is the Lone Cypress Tree, which is also a symbol of the Pebble Beach Golf Resort. No, I did not have $1,000 laying around to play a round there, but we did spend a great day in the area.
It is considered among the 10 most magnificent trees in the world, and rightfully so. It is 250 years old, and access to it is currently closed. The tree is now supported by cables with a hope that it will live to its birthday no. 300. What's amazing is that it's alive right on the rock, which is typical of these trees you may often see in this part of California.
Other pictures from the day there will be posted in the following days, so stay tuned.

I'm not sure what you were all doing over the weekend, but I was moving the rest of my rubbish from Utah to California.
Good idea - to stop and take few pictures on salt flats.
Bad idea - to kneel down while trying to setup a camera.
Result - cuts all over my knees.

This is an alternative veiw of the Brandon at the edge of 2,000 feet cliff at Dead Horse Point, Utah. In this image you can better sense the height and the danger we both faced as we took it.
It is A MUST to be seen in large.
